On October 11, 2025, JIC Leasing held a delivery and naming ceremony for its newly built 63,800-DWT bulk carrier,YUAN HAI QING HAN,at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (Nantong Xiangyu). The addition of this vessel marks a new milestone in the expansion of JIC Leasing’s fleet.

The ceremony was attended by Yang He, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of JIC Leasing; Guo Xiubin, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Maritime Safety Administration; Xie Huihui, Deputy Director of the Qianhai Authority (the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen); Zhu Wei, Deputy General Manager of the Strategy and Corporate Management Department of COSCO Shipping Bulk Co., Ltd.; Lin Ji, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd.; Yu Dehui, Director of the Nantong Office of China Classification Society; Hong Jingming, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Xiamen Financial Leasing Co., Ltd.; and Hou Dandan, General Manager of the Key Accounts Department of the Shanghai Branch of China CITIC Bank, along with several other distinguished guests. Together, they witnessed this significant moment.

In the presence of all attendees, Wang Xinyu, Party Committee Member and Chief Financial Officer of JIC Leasing, officially named the new ship. He then conducted the cable-cutting and unveiling ceremony, signifying that YUAN HAI QING HAN is now ready to embark on global operations.

In his speech, Tu Jun, Party Committee Member and Board Secretary of JIC Leasing, stated that the successful delivery of YUAN HAI QING HAN demonstrates Nantong Xiangyu’s strong shipbuilding capabilities. He added that it also marks the successful completion of the first collaboration between COSCO Shipping Bulk and JIC Leasing. He expressed his hope that the partnership among all parties, like this remarkable vessel, will sail toward a broader and brighter future. Qin Weimin, General Manager of Nantong Xiangyu, and Xie Huihui, Deputy Director of the Qianhai Authority, also delivered remarks at the event. They expressed their high expectations for the vessel’s promising operational prospects.
