JIC Leasing Supports the Development of the Low-Altitude Economy
JIC Leasing recently entered into an agreement with a low-altitude operations company in Shanghai to support the deployment and operation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The leased equipment for this project is an EHang EH216-S eVTOL aircraft, which has obtained type certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. As the world’s first eVTOL aircraft to receive airworthiness certification, this model is designated as a major “first-of-its-kind” piece of national technical equipment. Featuring zero emissions and low noise, it represents one of the key technological pathways toward ensuring green aviation.
This cooperation will support the client in launching low-altitude passenger sightseeing operations in Shanghai, helping to build demonstration bases for urban air mobility and providing an innovative model for the commercial operation of the low-altitude economy. By providing targeted financial services, JIC Leasing is supporting the application and promotion of eVTOL aircraft in low-altitude sightseeing, contributing both to the growth of emerging industry players and to the reduction of carbon emissions from traditional aviation fuels. This represents an innovative financial practice for supporting a low-carbon economy while driving the green transformation of the transportation sector—fully reflecting finance’s essential role in serving the real economy.

The successful implementation of this project has provided JIC Leasing with valuable experience in expanding its business within the low-altitude economy. Looking ahead, the company will continue to advance financial product innovation and further enhance its financial service system across the entire industry chain—from low-altitude equipment manufacturing to operational services and infrastructure. JIC Leasing will continue contributing its leasing capabilities to foster new growth drivers in the low-altitude economy and support the development of a modern industrial system.
