JIC Leasing has recently entered into a finance lease with a certain environmental-protection company in Wuhan in support of ecological and green development.

The company, a flagship in the environmental-protection industry of the region, runs two of the largest landfill sites for household waste in central China, in addition to projects such as biogas power generation, clean energy and public-bicycle scheme, which ensure the urban infrastructure services and management functions of Wuhan.

As requirements for environmental protection continue to tighten in urban development, the cost and demand for urban-waste disposal also continue to increase. Wuhan has introduced increasingly tougher policies and regulations for waste disposal in recent years, as well as imposed stricter requirements for ecological and environmental-protection industries, including waste disposal. The funds will be used for the building of regional dumps and the recycling of waste and old electronic materials, which will help support the ecological and environmental-protection development and the resource conservation of the region.
