Recently, the 5thChina (Dongjiang) Shipping Industry Week was held in Tianjin under the theme “Enhancing China's International Competitiveness in Maritime Finance amid Restructuring of Order.” At the event, JIC Leasing, in collaboration with the Tianjin Branch of Bank of Communications, won the Pioneer Award at the 9thChina Qianxing Awards for Maritime Finance for its 64,000-DWT Bulk Carrier Operating Lease Project.

The China Qianxing Awards recognizes organizations with outstanding contributions and exceptional performance in maritime finance, and holds significant influence and authority within the sector. The project marks JIC Leasing’s first vessel operating lease business launched in the Tianjin Dongjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Bank of Communications provided innovative “5+5” structured vessel leasing loans for the project, effectively supporting the purchase and providing a key financial guarantee for its successful implementation. The leasing partner is a leading provincial state-owned shipping enterprise. Once operational, the vessel will provide robust transport capacity to support cargo shipments at ports along the Belt and Road. The award marks broad industry recognition of JIC Leasing’s innovation in the shipping sector.
